TEMAZCAL CEREMONY (150 mins)
The temazcal is a traditional sweat lodge used for healing and ritual purposes by Mayan and other indigenous Mesoamerican cultures for centuries. Derived from the Nahuatl words "temaz" (steam) and "calli" (house), the dome-shaped lodge is made of clay, symbolizing the womb of Mother Earth. You'll undergo a therapeutic ritual led by a shaman, involving chanting, a guided circle of songs, and the pouring of herbal-infused water onto heated volcanic stones. This ceremonial steam bath aids in detoxification through sweating and also offers spiritual purification and renewal.
