BEFORE YOU ARRIVE

You will need a passport, but you do not need a visa if you're from the United States, Canada, or most European countries.

If you are from elsewhere, please check this list of countries which do not require a visa to enter Mexico.

We can easily send you a link to extend your stay up to 3 days before (check in Sunday, Dec 3) and 3 days after the event (checkout Wednesday, Dec 13). Just email us at hello@wanderlust.com and we'll take care of you.

Yes, only three things:

1. Schedule your classes. We see that most of you have already scheduled, but if not, please log in to our ticketing portal here and scroll down until you see the section marked MY SELECTIONS.  The hyperlink on your name will take you to our class scheduler.

2. Make your dinner reservations. With more than 200 guests, we need to make sure that dinner is smooth & delicious, so we ask that you use this handy reservation form to reserve your table.

3. Reserve your car service to/from the Cancun airport. Please see the next item for info on that.

See you soon.

You can travel light, as Wanderlust Palmaïa has you covered for nearly everything you might need. But planning ahead never hurts, so here ere are some things it might make sense to bring:

  • Your passport.
  • A good sun hat
  • Flip flops and a pair of sneakers (for walks)
  • Bathing suit
  • Your best eco-friendly sunscreen
  • Your fave insect repellant. We'll have copal burning at outdoor venues, but bring some if you're particularly delicious to insects.
  • A sun protection shirt, ideally insulated, particularly if you plan on participating in the water meditation
  • A credit card. You may not even need it, but the resort does take a $500 hold for incidentals on arrival.
  • If you're picky about your mat, bring it. We do have quality mats at all venues, but some people prefer their own.
  • Some cash for tips, if you're so inclined. US dollars or CAD are welcome. There is an ATM that dispenses dollars and pesos next door at the Sandos resort.
  • Your positivity and energy!

As of Dec 6, we recommend reserving transport through the resort, but you can also take a taxi from any of the taxi services outside as you exit the Cancun airport.

To book through Palmaïa, email arrival@thehouseofaia.com or call +1.863.485.8268. The price is $170 one-way, $320 return, flat for up to five passengers.

If you choose a taxi service, we recommend FlexShuttle.

Typical trip time from Cancun airport to Palmaia is between 60 and 90 minutes, depending on traffic and construction.

Your reservation at Wanderlust Palmaïa is from Wednesday, Dec 6 to Sunday, Dec 10, 2023. You can check in anytime on Wednesday and begin to enjoy resort amenities, but we can't guarantee access to your room until after 2pm. We recommend arriving anytime after noon on December 6.

Once you arrive at the resort, you'll check in at the resort reception. We already have your name and information, so all you'll need to do is present your passport to hotel staff and you'll be all set.

To be safe, please make sure you have your confirmation number (7 letters, like EAX-RYBG) from your Wanderlust booking handy as well.

The resort will take a $500 hold on your credit card to cover purchases  of spa services and other incidentals while at the resort. This hold will be released at the end of your stay, less any purchases made.

THE EXPERIENCE

Just click the two buttons at the top of this page.

Yes. It's free and it's everywhere, indoors and outdoors. Look for the network "Palmaia" on your phone or computer.

No, the schedule will close Wednesday evening once the event kicks off. If you want to attend a different class from the one you've scheduled, you can "drop in."

Drop ins will be admitted after the registered guests are all in, space available. Most classes will have space for at least a few drop-ins, but we can only guarantee access to registered guests.

With so many classes scheduled back to back, we really try to keep our classes on time. We ask for your help and consideration.

At the class start time, after admitting registered guests, we will admit drop-ins, space allowing.

If you arrive after the class starts, but within five minutes of the start time, you will be admitted if there's space. After 5 minutes, admission is at the discretion of the venue manager.

We ask for your understanding as we protect the practice experience for your fellow guests.

The Friday dinner is a chance to commune with your fellow guests in a Mexican "mercadito" — a casual, outdoor pop-up food market that's a common throughout Mexico. Though the atmosphere is casual, the food is anything but. The chefs of Palmaïa have created a wide range of tasty treats.

The mercadito dinner is located on the Merope Deck on the ocean side of the Merope building.

We'll offer communal seating and standing highboys for about 120 people, with additional seating in Eolo, which is about 50 yards away.

The dinner starts at 7pm but come anytime between 7 and 9pm.

Wanderlust will have staff throughout the event, who you can identify by their dark gray t-shirts. In addition, Palmaia will assign a Nomadic Guide to each guest, who can answer questions about the resort, recommend activities, and generally help out with any questions. The guides generally communicate via WhatsApp, so please download the app to your phone if you don't have it already.

We will also provide printouts of the event map and the full schedule for each day.

Sure, no problem — you can come and go as you please. The hotel reception can call taxis for you if you'd like to explore Playa or check out Tulum up the road.

Yes, definitely! If you purchased spa services through our website, just confirm your appointment time with the spa by emailing atlantis@thehouseofaia.com

If you're interested in purchasing additional services, email the spa at your convenience.

There are a few Saturday spots left in our Temazcal, which is one of the standout purification rituals available at Wanderlust Palmaïa.

Checkout is at noon, but the hotel will consider late checkout requests if the room is available.

If you're departing in the evening or night, you are welcome to remain at the resort on Sunday until your car takes you to the airport. You'll have full access to all resort amenities.

The hotel will  store your bags at reception until you're ready to depart.
