Ritual & Arts
The medicine of sound is a multidisciplinary project created by rené nájera, who has the mission of sharing music as a tool for healing and collective wellbeing. René has been dedicated to music since his young, studying bass, guitar, and singing. He has a career as an instrumentalist of jazz, funk, rock, latin music, and contemporary styles. René is certified by the sound healing institute as a sound therapist and gong master. In 2010, he carried out his first vipassana meditation retreat, which had a great impact on his life and changed his focus as a musician. He began exploring "khommei" chant (harmonic/overtone singing) as a tool for self-knowledge, in combination with mindfulness, while exploring ethnic musical instruments and meditation.
